Hey there!
Hey there!
I'm Daniela Amaya, a graphic designer living it up in Colorado!
I'm Daniela Amaya, a graphic designer living it up in Colorado!

A LITTLE FUN FACT: I didn’t discover my love for creativity until my senior year of high school - and it's all thanks to my dad, who first introduced me to graphic design. From that moment, I knew it was the path I wanted to take in college. After my very first design class, I was hooked. I loved the process and the challenge of bringing ideas to life, which eventually led me to earn my BFA in Graphic Design from Colorado State University in Spring 2024.
A big part of what shapes me as a designer comes from my roots. Both of my parents are immigrants from Latin America, and growing up around that culture gave me a deep appreciation for the colors and creativity. I mean, my the bright, bold brand colors I chose were totally inspired by bright colored houses I saw in Mexico. Family has always been at the center of my life, so when I’m not working on a project, I’m probably with them... or hanging out with my cat, Panchito.
At the heart of it all, design is more than a career for me - it’s a calling. My faith in Christ reminds me that I was created to create and that belief guides the way I use my creativity. In my approach, design isn’t just about visuals; it’s about reflecting purpose and using the gifts God has given me to serve others. Every project is a chance to design with intention and create work that connects people.
That perspective has only deepened through my work in marketing. Being in that environment has helped me understand the strategy behind design - how visuals support messaging, how audiences connect with a brand, and how creativity and marketing work together to tell a message. I’m grateful for the mentors, supervisors, and professors who have poured into me along the way; their guidance continues to shape the designer and professional I’m becoming.

MY CAREER JOURNEY (so far…)
MY CAREER JOURNEY (so far…)
MY CAREER JOURNEY (so far…)
CSU - El Centro
Marketing Coordinator
This role was my first opportunity to apply my artistic skills in a professional setting. Building on the foundation I gained from a first-year graphic design course, I developed my ability to create designs that effectively capture attention and connect with the target audience.
2021 - 2022
CSU - LSC Marketing
Graphic Designer
I designed ads for the Lory Student Center at CSU, collaborating with the team to meet their needs. Working under tight deadlines improved my time management, and client meetings helped me understand design requests better. I also strengthened my Adobe skills throughout the role.
2023 - 2024
23 Church
Graphic Design Intern
One of my proudest projects was leading an Easter campaign, designing graphics, stage setups, and new props. I managed the full execution, boosted social media engagement with smart design strategies, and sharpened my project management skills throughout.
Spring 2024
Flood and Peterson
Marketing Coordinator
I create marketing visuals that bring our brand to life. From sales and promotional materials to digital and print assets, I help make sure everything we share is not only engaging but consistent on on-brand. I also support our social media strategy, designing content that connects our values with our audience all while helping our brand stand out.
2024 - Now
& DOING A LOT OF SIDE PROJECTS TO KEEP THE CREATIVE JUICES FLOWING!
